Welcome (back) to BIFSA- Bangor Forestry Society!

The BIFSA Committee are busy planning lots of exciting events for next term and we’re all looking forward to welcoming lots of new members (and hopefully some returning members too!).

We’ve already got some great guest lectures lined up for our famous cheese and wine evenings, including speakers on the subjects of ‘Floodplain Woodlands’ and ‘Urban Trees and Forestry’. We’re also hoping to arrange some hands-on work with trees- there’s lots of pruning to be done at the University Farm and plenty of work down at Treborth Botanic Gardens. New for this term will also be a weekend away trip to visit some forests a bit further afield, we’re still finalising the details, but it’ll definitely be something to look forward to.

If you want to join, re-join or just find out a bit more about BIFSA, come and find us at ‘Serendipity’ (26th and 27th September) – we’ll have a stand upstairs in the main ‘Time’ nightclub building.

Looking forward to seeing you!
